Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for the Sima App

First: App Definition

The Sima app is an electronic payment application aimed at facilitating electronic payment services (bill payment - money transfer), in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The app is intended for authorized distributors and points of sale, and is not allowed to be used by unauthorized persons.

Second: Operator and Owner

The operator and owner of the app is Sima Company, which is responsible for managing operations, saving data, and providing technical support.

Third: Registration Conditions

Registration in the app is not available to the public; the applicant must be an authorized distributor or point of sale with Sima Company.

An account cannot be created directly through the app; the account is requested either by contacting the company's customer service numbers, or by filling out the registration form in the app so the support team can contact you later to confirm the account.

Fourth: Data Collection and Use Policy

1. Data required to create an account: Full Name, National ID Number, Mobile Number (must be registered in the name of the ID owner).

The account cannot be activated until the required documents by the Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority are completed.

2. Privacy and Backups: A backup copy of all operations performed by the user (transfers - bill payments) is saved. Sima Company retains this data and pledges to maintain its confidentiality. The user can view the operations within the app for three months.

3. App Permissions: The app operates within the Syrian Arab Republic only. It requires location access permission when executing any transfer operation.

Fifth: Documents Required for Subscription

Copy of personal ID

"Non-convicted" document (Clear criminal record)

Workplace proof document

Filling out a pledge and a natural person form issued by the Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority (obtained through the customer service and sales support department in the app)

Sixth: Terms of Use

The company pledges to maintain the privacy of your data and operations within the app.

The user is contacted after account creation to complete the required documents.

If the data or documents are not completed, the account will be temporarily suspended.

The user can view the company's bank account information within the app.

The balance is topped up within a maximum of 30 minutes from the confirmation of the bank deposit.

Detailed reports for any operation (units - bills) can be requested via customer service.

The company retains operation records for three months, and older data can be requested by special request.

Seventh: Technical Information

The app works on Android devices running version 5.1 and above.

The app is not available on electronic stores or otherwise.

The official version is sent only through communication with the company.

Eighth: Access Sources Used by the App on the User's Device

The app requests access to: Geographic location when making transfers (to document the point of sale and location).

Internet connection to enable calculation operations and data exchange.

Cache storage to save temporary login data and ensure fast usage.

The app does not use the camera, microphone, or any permissions not mentioned above.

Ninth: Sharing Personal Data

No personal user data is shared with third parties, except for official authorities such as the Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority, upon legal request.

User data is used only for the purpose of providing the service, improving the user experience, and communicating with them regarding operations or completing documentation.

Tenth: User Rights and Responsibilities

User Rights: View their data and request modifications. Request reports on executed operations. Submit a complaint or request clarification via customer service numbers. Cancel the account at any time after settling all existing operations.

User Responsibilities: Maintain the confidentiality of the username and password. Not share the account with any other party. Use the app within the specified purposes (as a distributor or point of sale only). Provide the company with correct and updated information and documents.

Eleventh: Protection and Privacy Mechanisms

The company relies on electronic protection systems to encrypt data and store it securely.

Account data cannot be accessed by company employees except when there is an explicit request from the user or an order from a regulatory authority.

Data is automatically deleted from the app after 3 months, with an archived copy remaining within the company in accordance with the security policy.

Twelfth: Policy on Use by Minors

The use of the app by minors (under 18 years old) is prohibited.

The user must be an adult and possess legal capacity as a licensed distributor or point of sale.

If it is found that the account belongs to a minor, the company has the right to suspend the account immediately and inform the competent authorities.

Thirteenth: Cancellation of Subscription

The user can request account cancellation at any time, after settling all pending financial operations.

The operations record is kept for 3 months after cancellation, then automatically deleted.

The cancellation request must be submitted via customer service or official email.

Fourteenth: Rights and Duties of the App Operator

Company Rights: Modify or develop the app in accordance with the regulatory authority's policies. Suspend any account that violates the terms of use or is used illegally. Request periodic updates of identification documents to ensure compliance.

Company Duties: Provide technical support to users around the clock. Maintain data confidentiality and prevent leaks. Top up the balance after deposit within a period not exceeding 30 minutes. Respond to requests for reports and reviews within a maximum of 24 hours.

Fifteenth: Procedures for Violating the Terms of Use

If the user violates the applicable terms or policies, the company takes the following actions:

1. Notify the user of the violation via phone number or within the app.

2. Temporarily suspend the account until the situation is resolved or reviewed by the competent authority.

3. Permanently cancel the account in case of repeated violation or lack of response.

4. Refer the matter to the competent authorities when there is a legal violation.

Sixteenth: Amendments to the Privacy and Terms of Use Policy

The company reserves the right to amend the terms of use and privacy policy at any time.

When any amendment is made: The new policy is displayed within the app. Amendments are clarified explicitly. User consent is requested again before continuing to use the app.

If the user rejects the amendments, the account is suspended until consent is given or an official cancellation request is submitted.
